The Work Office-Phase 1 Complete


The work office project has been moving along slowly but surely. We've had no internet access for almost a week and my DSL provider who shall remain nameless has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced. Now I used to work for Disney so believe me I know customer service and these people don't have it! Its no wonder they are getting fined! So no internet access at work during the day and I've actually been busy with the night job has left me little time to surf or organize but I think I'm slowly making progress. The picture below is the right side After....i think I'll make my deadline!

Talk About Tuesday--My First One!

Ok so this is my first Talk About Tuesday. Something exciting and fun to talk about how about the fact that yesterday on Memorial Day I got to sleep in until 10am and yes I did have children in the house (1 of 2 but still..) Yes I can hear the jaws of jealous moms dropping around the blogosphere! I'm sure I will not be so lucky again with children in the house until they turn 18! My husband poor thing had to work super early and I woke up around 6:45 am with a pounding headache...M2 was starting to fuss so when I went downstairs to get some Excedrin I grabbed her a cup of milk and stuck it in her crib for her to find when she finally opened her eyes and she drank it and rolled right over and went back to sleep and we both slept another 3 hours! I so needed that rest because I'm up until at least 145 am most nights of the week working for the airline and don't believe the reports about sluggish travel...My phone keeps ringing! So that is my excitement for Tuesday I slept late on Monday!

Menu Plan Monday

Well I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day Weekend. I had a very uneventful weekend although I got rid of alot of junk! I found a great storage box to put away all of my son's preschool projects that I can't bear to throw away just yet. And I took a laundry basket full of clothes to the local baby consignment shop. This is my first foray into consignment but I figure even if I get a little money out of it its better than all that clothing cluttering up the closets!

So a new week and I'm going to plan my menu's for the week for the first time in my domestic career! I've been married almost 8 years and this is the first time I'm planning a full week's meal! So here goes

Monday: Eat at Hotel Grandma!

Tuesday: Spaghetti and Meatballs

Wednesday: Cheesy Chicken Casserole

Thursday: Beef and Chicken Fajitas

Friday: Hotel other Grandma!

So tune in next week to see if I stuck to the menu plan!

Finally Some Help!

Yay!!! My DH's former military training and need for organization has kicked back in! He has decided to tackle his half of the home office which I think was a bigger disaster area than my desk....Mine is just piled high with my son's preschool projects. I have a new love which is the Neat Receipts organizer. Its tiny, it scans full size papers, and it helps me get rid of those papers that are cluttering up my desk which I don't throw away for fear of needing it in the future....hmm wonder if I can scan glitter and glue? In a couple of hours I managed to greatly reduce the pile of paper on my desk. The stacks and stacks of magazines are next! I save the magazines because of some article that I like but then I can't find it again and guess what it collects dust! So I'm going to start just scanning in the magazine pages I want and chucking the magazine in the recycle bin! Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day. Please keep all of our troops past and present in your thoughts and prayers.

Well in the true spirit of my organizational adventure I have joined Tackle it Tuesday courtesy of the 5 minutes for mom blog. It was my computer addiction and my new found love of Google reader that I have become inspired not only to get my organizational skills in gear but to also blog about it...So what is my project....well there are several but the first one is my office desk. I will post the picture later because in true chaotic style I don't have the card reader to download the picture from my camara. But I am taking the before picture and I hope to have an after picture that is dated within 3 weeks of the before picture...yes I'm setting myself a deadline of 3 weeks from today which is June 10, 2008. So wish me luck...once you see the picture you will realize how much I need it!

The Adventure Begins!

Ok so I'm not the neatest person...but I'm not the messiest one out there. Clean Sweep and the other TV shows would never come to my house because its not THAT horribly messy....with that being said it does look like a storm went through it and I'm not talking about Hurricane M2 (my 2 kids) although I'm sure they contribute a large part towards it. So after not being able to find the TSA approved locks last night for a last minute trip my DH was taking today, (And I swore up and down I had put them away in the suitcases after our last trip) the camel's back broke. I'm sick of the clutter and the papers, and the general junk! So join me on my organizing journey and see how this adventure turns out.....On that note there is a pile of papers on my desk calling my name!
